We're taking care of your babies!

Services

Alicia Pet Clinic is a full service animal hospital that offers a wide range of pet healthcare services, including the following:

Diagnostic and Therapeutic Clinical Services: We have complete in-patient and out-patient facilities to diagnose your pet's problems and provide the appropriate treatment to assure your pet's recovery, as rapidly and completely as possible.

Anesthesia: We have the safest available anesthetics which provide that extra margin of safety in our patients. All anesthetized animals will have an IV catheter placed for fluids during the procedure and will be monitored with an E.K.G. and pulse oxymeter. In addition, our trained surgical technicians monitor the patient's vital signs every 2 to 5 minutes depending on the risk factor of the patient. We only use Sevoflurane anesthesia, which is currently the safest available gas anesthetic.  (Click here to read more).

Behavioral Counseling: If you have trouble with your pet barking, chewing, spraying, scratching, digging or housebreaking, we can provide helpful advice on correcting the problem.

Boarding: Our boarding facility is available for reservations year-round. All boarding patients must be current on appropriate vaccinations. We make every attempt to accommodate your pet's needs while they are staying with us, including special diet requests, administering medications, and bathing requests. Dogs and cats are housed in separate areas of the hospital to keep our feline friends as stress-free as possible. Dogs are housed in large runs, when space is available, and are walked several times daily.  (Click here to read more).

Dentistry: Increasingly, our clients have become aware that it is important to have their pet's teeth examined and cleaned on a regular basis, just as their own teeth. We offer a complimentary dental evaluation  with one of our trained nurses Monday through Saturday. Our dental services include complete teeth cleaning  with an ultrasonic scaler, polishing, and a fluoride treatment, tooth extractions, and minor oral surgery. We offer our dental services Monday through Friday by appointment.  (Click here to read more).

Dietary Counseling: Proper nutrition is vital to the health of your animal companion at every age level. Let us discuss your pet's nutritional needs for each life stage, including dietary requirements for growth, weight maintenance, performance, and as an aid in the treatment of some diseases. We carry Hill's Prescription Diets, Purina, Eukanuba, and Royal Canin.

Emergency Care: We provide emergency services for dogs and cats during normal business hours. Our doctors and support staff are highly trained in emergency medicine. Please call our regular telephone number for instructions for after-hour emergencies.

Hydrosurge Bathing: Routine and medicated baths are available Monday through Saturday. Our bathing services include a pedicure, anal gland expression, and a surface ear cleaning.  (Click here to read more).

Laboratory: Our complete in-house laboratory  facilities provide for serum chemistry, hematology, serology, urinalysis, and parasite testing. In addition to our in-house laboratory, we have a full service reference laboratory that picks up specimens three times daily. Virtually any test possible can be performed on a daily basis.  (Click here to read more).

Non-Anesthetic Dentals: We are pleased to provide this service with the help of Pet Dental Services. Available for both dogs and cats, non-anesthetic dentals are a great way to keep your pet's teeth clean and healthy. Appointments may be made at any time for this service provided on the second Wednesday and fourth Thursday of every month. Not every pet is a candidate for this procedure due to dental disease or disposition. Call for more details.  (Click here to read more).

Pharmacy: We have a complete inventory of pharmaceuticals, vitamins, nutraceuticals, food supplements, shampoos, flea and tick control and heartworm prevention, to meet the needs of your pet.  (Click here to read more).

Physical Examinations:  Physical exams are the most important step towards ensuring a good quality of life for your furry companion. Our examinations include a complete physical on your pet from nose to tail and everywhere in between. We operate on an appointment basis, but always accommodate walk-ins. We also provide drop-off services for those with busy schedules.

Whether the prevention is in the form of routine check-ups, vaccination, arthritis medication, high quality pet foods or supplements we can show you how to avoid painful and costly diseases and maladies.
