CLIENT TESTIMONIALS & THANK YOUS:
"Alicia Pet Care Center saved my dog's life. I found a dog that had been very badly abused and needed surgery. Alicia Pet Care went out of their way to help me, even though I had financial difficulties. I can honestly say I wouldn't have my baby if it weren't for them! They have helped me time and again when I really needed it. I highly recommend this petcare center to anyone, not just because they helped my dog, but because of all of the work they do for animals inside and outside of the clinic. The vets here support a lot of animals rescue work and adoptions, and you can be sure your money is going to a great cause! Please support this veterinarian's office, as they support so many animals and their guardians. They will treat your animals with the utmost care, and I can honestly say this is the only place I would completely trust to leave my dog with overnight. I know they love animals like I love animals....which is a lot!" - Wendy H.

"Dr Wheaton and staff has been treating our Kylie since we moved out to Orange County in Nov 2003. From the front staff, to the nurses and doctors, you feel comfortable from the moment you walk in. The new facility is HUGE and is state of the art. We recently got a puppy, Dexi, who is now also under the care of Alicia Pet Care Center.
Oh yea...they also have a great boarding facility that we have used when we go out of town. Keep it up guys!" - Christian D. - Yelp.com

"To the staff of APCC:
I cannot express to you ALL my gratitude for the care of my doggie. I was nervous and when you go to a new Vet, it’s like a box of chocolates, “you just don’t know what you are going to get out”. Well, what I got was a healthy doggie and a happy mommy (me)…Christy, Dr. Forman and Carolyn, how do I tell you all how much I appreciate your kindness, care and overall attention to our baby. I cannot put into words how much you all mean to me and my family now. You have, without evening knowing, become a part of our family too. Carolyn, thank you for Rocco’s giraffe, you are adorable and it shows in your eyes the true dedication and love for animals you have.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you thank you thank you!!! God bless and may your business continue to thrive. I myself am a believer in APCC and will refer all and anyone that asks for an unbelievable experience with their pets. ox
Warmest regards." - Samantha Wright - email to the staff

"Penny Dog??" - By john - Apr 8, 2010 - Google
I adopted the perfect dog, in the Marley and Me way, from Alicia Pet Care Center and am so grateful and blessed for the addition to my family. Without a doubt we chose to use Dr. Wheaton as are primary vet through allergy's, surgery and many other situations a first time, ornery, puppy owner could freak out over. Dr. Wheaton has been like a member of our family helping us overcome the challenges of being a first time puppy owner and for that I'm grateful it's not often today a company, The Alicia Pet Care family; aka. all the girls and josh, provides you a service while making you feel like your apart of a family. THANK YOU ALICIA PET CARE CENTER?

"Best Vet in Orange County??" - By Catherine - Nov 18, 2009 - Google
Dr. Wheaton discovered a very serious heart condition in my dog after she had been seen for years by other vets. This wasn't something that just cropped up overnight.... I will never see another vet again! He not only diagnosed the disorder, but helped me to get it paid by my dog's insurance by calling them directly and gave me the absolute best treatment available. He is so absolutely intelligent and up to date with all treatment options. If you love your animal bring your pal to Dr. Wheaton. I cannot tell you how comfortable I feel with my little girl in his care. A++++

"Excellent Pet Clinic??" - By Sherri - Jun 22, 2009 - Google
I drive 25 miles from Fullerton to see Dr Wheaton and Hawkins for my two Maltese dogs. The staff is fantastic, the clinic is clean and have every confidence with the doctors. The vets listen to you and explain in laymans terms, not medical jargon. If you are picky about where you take your animals, then this is the place to go.?

My Chesepeake Bay Retreiver (his name is Sage) injured his front leg and I didn't know what to do since I have been out of work since August and am not receiving unemployment insurance or any other type of assistance. I asked numerous people for advise and a few of them referred me to Alicia Pet Care Center.
I live in Santa Ana so getting my dog to Mission Viejo was a serious concern for me since my car is also inoperable at the moment. I decided to call some veterinarian offices that were close to my place of residence. I called several vet's offices and explained my financial situation and not one of them was willing to help me. That is until I called Alicia Pet Care Center. They were the only vet that would give me a free examination.
Upon arriving at Alicia Pet Care Center, I knew I was in good hands. Their office was beautiful with clean and spacious examination rooms equipped with the most state-of-the-art equipment. His staff put us in an examination room and Dr. Wheaton came in within 5 minutes. His office staff had already informed him of my financial situation. Dr. Wheaton was very supportive and offered the names and telephone numbers of numerous places to seek financial aid.
Dr. Wheaton examined my dog and said that he would have to x-ray his foot to make sure the leg was broken. My dog's leg was swollen to at least twice the size. Dr. Wheaton gave me an estimate of what it would cost to x-ray and splint my dog's leg and then he took my dog into the back to administer pain medication to ease my dog's pain and to allow him to take the x-rays. Dr. Wheaton also said that my dog would need a large splint on his leg if the x-rays showed that the leg was broken. Dr. Wheaton also said that he would send me home with some pain medication for my dog. As Dr. Wheaton left the room, I became a little panicky because I was hoping that he was advised of my financial situation. A few minutes later, Dr. Wheaton came back into the exam room with the estimate and a list of companies that I could call that may assist me with my financial needs. He explained that most of the companies on the list would not give me financial aid if the work had already been done. I didn't know what to do since I didn't want my dog to have to be away from me and remain caged while I called all the numbers that Dr. Wheaton had given me. Dr. Wheaton advised me to start making some calls and to advise his office staff of how the fund raising was going and in the meantime, he would at least give my dog a pain injection to ease his pain and to keep him comfortable.
After about half an hour, Dr. Wheaton called me back into the exam room with some good news. He graciously took it upon himself to perform the x-rays without concern for how I was going to pay for them. Dr. Wheaton advised me that my dog's leg was not broken after all, just very badly sprained with only soft tissue damage and therefore, the earlier estimate would be adjusted since my dog no longer needed a splint on his leg.
With the help of his office staff and after making numerous phone calls, I was able to raise $200.00 towards his bill (which was extrememly reasonable). Although I advised Dr. Wheaton that I would continue my fund raising efforts from home and would update him on the progress, he declined my offer.
If not for Dr. Wheaton and his wonderful caring staff, I would not have been able to have my dog's leg treated. I am so thankful to everyone at Alicia Pet Care Center. They treated me with respect and concern for my dog knowing that I didn't have the means to pay them. The help they gave me was priceless and I highly recommend them to anyone who has any pet care needs.

Dr. Wheaton and his team reached out and helped me when I found a dog that was in dire need of surgery. I found the dog dirty, emaciated, abused, shut-down, and with her eye hanging out, and damage to her jaw. He performed surgery on my dog for free until I could solicit enough donations to pay for it.
All of the staff at the Alicia Pet Care Center are AMAZING!!! I wouldn't leave my animals anywhere else. Precious Life is now a part of my family, and loves cats! Thanks to the Alicia Pet Care Center for saving my dog's life! This was the only vet in the entire state of California that I could find to do the surgery pro-bono until I could raise the funds. They don't just claim to love animals, they really show it!

Dr. Wheaton is THE BEST. He's the first vet I've ever seen that has been passionate about nutrition and has even been supportive of my decision to use a raw diet. He may be a little bit more expensive, but his thoroughness has saved me money in the long run. Another well-respected vet in OC was taking my kitty down the wrong path and I was about to engage in a very expensive and worthless test which would have shown absolutely nothing. I consulted dr. wheaton for a second opinion and he knew right off the bat that it would be a worthless test and he put my kitty on the RIGHT track which saved me A LOT of money in the long run. Alicia Pet Care Center is also doing wonderful things for the community with their pet resuce center. Very proud to be a patient!

Dr. Wheaton came highly recommended by a vet we trusted with the care of our Aussie until he moved to a cat-only facility. Since our first visit back in 2006, Dr. Wheaton and his staff have provided the care and compassion you would hope your own doctor might. Since that day we never took our Aussie to any other veterinarian except in an emergency outside of the APCC's normal business hours. Dr. Matthew Wheaton is known throughout South Orange County as one of the best. It's his compassion, optimism and ability to communicate with both pet and owner that make him our choice for taking care of our babies.

Excellent staff and even better vets! These doctors REALLY care about
animals. They do more than just take your money and give you the
minimum. They truly care for your animals, and they also support a lot
of rescue work. You can feel good giving these people your money and
knowing it will go further than just helping your animal. I highly
recommend bringing your babies here. They will be loved and cared for.
I wouldn't bring my animals anywhere else.

Alicia Pet Care Center is a breath of fresh air. The facility is impeccably clean and the employees are wonderful! The nurses and doctors speak to you on a more personal level rather than the cold treatment found at other clinics. I regularly take my cat in for a teeth cleaning and have always been impressed. This office is highly recommended!

"An experience to always be remembered!" - Nathan T. - Insider Pages
Very few clinics have the ability, know-how, staff and expertise to make a veterinary trip worth every penny, time way from work and trust relinquished to care for my dear pets. APCC is nothing short of what a textbook clinic should be! Dr. Wheaton and his staff has been committed to superb service and, above all, building a solid relationship with me.
His nurses, Samantha, Anca, Bethany, Casey and Caroline (over the years) have shown me what true passion and caring should be. They take all the necessary time to be patient and above all LISTEN. From the moment I walk into an exam room the stress and nerves dissipate because I know, and so does my dog, he and I will be taken care of.
What I love and admire most about Dr. Wheaton is his civility, understanding and willingness to take time to do his job to the best of his abilities. A doctor who, once he wants into the exam room, sits right down and greets my dog on his level knows exactly what he is doing to provide service and care above everything else.
There motto Were taking care of your babies could be further from the truth. Its always a pleasure to know I have nothing worry about when I need to pay APCC a visit!

"Wonderful Office" - Hana B. - Insider Pages
Dr Wheaton and his staff offer a very warm friendly environment to bring your pets. The front staff are great, very friendly and warm ( and you don't see that at all vets), they great many clients by their first name and just make you feel welcome. Dr. Wheaton is wonderful with the animals, and will tell you how it is , which i definitely appreciate. It is very hard to find a vet you can trust to care for your pets. And I will only refer people to a vet I would trust, and I highly recommend Dr. Wheaton's practice to anyone. With the special needs pets I have, i am extremely particular about what vet I use, and as an animal rescuer He tells you what he recommends, but he wont push or force you into anything you don't feel comfortable doing for your pet and/or financially.I would only take our rescue animals to a vet I trust as well, as they deserve the best care possible. Plus Dr. Wheaton is doing alot of good in the community with his Affordable Spay/Neuter Clinic as we so desperately need more affordable spay/neuter services so we can stop the overwhelming pet overpopulation problem, with this clinic he is trying to help."

My cats need special care when I board them and I would not board them anywhere else. I've been to many vets in Orange County over the years and Alicia Pet Care Center is the best...hands down. They are progressive, the facility is beautiful (immaculate and very peaceful), and the staff...can't say enough about the staff. A great vet is nothing without a great staff. They are awesome and I trust them implicitly. I especially appreciate how much Alicia Pet Care Center does for animals in need. True heroes over there.
